Young leaders from across metro Detroit will soon have an opportunity to take part in decisions shaping our region: city leaders and the Michigan Suburbs Alliance are launching an experimental venture called Millennial Mayors Congress, in which mayors and emerging civic leaders will collaboratively develop action-oriented solutions to regional challenges. We are looking for participants of voting age with a passion for cities and a vision of what this region could be. People with a Detroit or close-in suburb address are especially encouraged to attend.
Stop by Ferndale next week for an informal info session about the Congress. Find out what it's about and how you or your organization can shape its development " or just enjoy a cold brew with project director Sharon Carney! There's no need to RSVP, just drop in anytime from 5:30-7:00.
