Forgotten Harvest was formed in 1990 to fight hunger and waste. It's the only mobile food rescue organization in the Detroit area and the third largest food rescue organization in the country. We currently rescue over 8 million pounds of food per year by collecting surplus prepared and perishable food from a variety of sources including grocery stores and restaurants. This donated food is delivered free of charge to emergency food providers in the metro Detroit area. |
