Detroit Jazz Fest and the DIA are pleased to present a special preview to the 29th Annual Jazz Festival. The 08 festival, entitled a Love Supreme: The Philly-Detroit Summit, will celebrate the bop legacies of both cities and the Trane that connects them. It will be a Detroit Tenors meets Philly Legends evening as Steve Woods, songwriter/composer, and guests romp through the music of saxophonists John Coltrane, Jimmy Heath and Benny Golson. Performing at 7 & 8:30p.m.

Up The Yangtze
In China it's known simply as The River. But the Yangtze " and all the life that surrounds it " is undergoing a transformation wrought by the largest hydroelectric project in history: the Three Gorges Dam.
