Stiletto Saviors! Oct 7, 2008

You Can Still Have Fun Shoes!
We've all done it. Bought a pair of four inch fire engine red stilettos that were so hot we thought we could walk on air only to find that after four hours we felt like our feet were in some sort of torture device.

The price of beauty...is it worth it? Of course it is, so put down that pair of wedge heel Crocs that you are trying to convince yourself are just as sexy. Help is on the way.

Everywhere products are popping up on shelves designed to save and revive your feet after the punishment that comes from wearing high heels. But do these miracle lotions, potions and more really work? Or is it just another way to market to we gullible women?

We've tested out some of the latest products and have discovered some favorites. Here they are, guaranteed to have you back on your feet, strutting in stilettos in no time.

YogaToes- You've seen the ads in countless magazines but do these funky little foot relievers really work? Yes they do! YogaToes provides a cooling, relaxing feeling for overworked feet and have been proven to prevent countless foot problems. Just slide your foot in and see the magic unfold. Best of all, their headquartered in Ann Arbor so you're supporting local business just by buying a pair!

Feet Dreams- This cooling gel from Soap and Glory is a quick reliever and cool down perfect after a night of dancing. Just rub the cool, yummy smelling gel from foot to calf to help alleviate swelling and pain. Although, it didn't take away all the sting after hitting the dance floor at my cousin's wedding, it did make it somewhat better. Pick some up at your local Target and check it out for yourself.

Dr. Scholl's for Her Rub Relief- These handy strips can be placed inside your shoes to alleviate trouble spots. They're inexpensive and convenient and definitely helped me keep my shoes on a little bit longer. These handy products all also making a splash thanks to the contestants on Dancing with the Stars.

Wedge or Platform Shoes- Believe it or not those super high patent leather shoes with the platform in front are actually a smarter option to your average heel. The reason being the raised front balances out the angle of your foot so it's not so inverted. Not only do they look sexy, you are actually doing your feet a favor when you wear them.

Whatever solution you choose, we hope you'll find something that helps soothe those weary feet. It'd be a tragedy to end up in flats all the time so do what you can to keep sporting those heels without damaging your precious feet!
