Give back to the community this month and make a difference in the lives of local children.
Think Detroit PAL was created in March, 2006 by the merger of Think Detroit and the Detroit Police Athletic League and provides after school sports leagues for local kids.
With a multitude of sports for both boys and girls that range from football to basketball to cheerleading, Think Detroit PAL has already become a major influence in numerous Detroit kids' lives.
This local non-profit is always looking for coaches for each of the sports as well as sports equipment. If you have old basketballs, footballs or other sports gear piling up in your garage don't throw it away why not donate it and play a part in helping kids?
Numerous studies have been conducted showing that girls who participate in sports are 92% less likely to get involved with drugs, 80% less likely to have an unwanted pregnancy and three times more likely to graduate from high school
Think Detroit PAL has been honored a multitude of times for its contribution to the community. Help support this important organization by arranging a time to donate gear. It only takes a few minutes and you could be a major player in helping a team practice and get ready for games.
Think Detroit PAL is currently looking for:
volleyballs
soccer equipment
baseball/softball equipment
equipment bags
uniforms
cameras
sports books, dvds etc.
food for banquets
