Enjoy authentic Northern Italian cuisines right in your backyard at Due Venti in Clawson.
Husband and wife David and Nicole Seals opened Due Venti in August 2008 and the restaurant was inspired by Nicole's Italian grandmother, Eva Theodoroff.
Due Venti's small but decorative style dining room mimics classic early Italy. Oil paintings by Theodoroff surround the restaurant while the walls are painted in a sunny Tuscan, giving the dining room the look of Northern Italy.
Each Italian dish is handmade from scratch and all ingredients are imported directly from Italy. The produce is grown locally in Oakland County. Their dairy products also comes from Oakland County.
Some of Due Venti's popular dishes are their fitelle ripiene de cavolfiore and tondore. The fitelle ripiene de cavolfiore are fritters of cauliflower with garlic, eggs, flour and herbs which is fried in olive and served with a warm tomato caponata and a lemon, garlic and herb aioli sauce.
The tondore dish includes delicate, handmade gnocchi of fresh ricotta cheese, garlic, eggs and flour, tossed with diced pancetta, caramelized onions, fresh tomatoes, spinach and onions.
Due Venti does not serve beer or alcohol, but serves Michigan wine by the glass Customers are not allowed to bring their own wine however. The restaurant is smoke-free and reservations are recommended but not required. Dress code is casual.
