Hop on the Night Move
Heading to Greektown Casino to gamble with lady luck? And then swinging in to Esko lounge for "just one".
Now it's 2:30 in the morning, you've had one too many cocktails and need to get back to your bed in Ferndale. This is an all too familiar problem with a very new, fun and cheap solution.
Detroit now has its very own shuttle service, The Night Move. This ervice caters to those that would like to venture from home without dealing with the headache of parking and hassle of a DUI. Scheduled stops are in Royal Oak, Ferndale and Detroit with a round trip ticket costing only $12! Only going one way? You're not left out, one way tickets are available for only $8.
The Night Move is not only a fun and safe way to travel around the Metro Detroit area, but also an environmentally conscience one. The bus runs on B20 biodiesel from Detroit's Clean Emissions Fluids, which makes emissions much lower than standard gas or diesel engines. The Night Move has also teamed up with CarbonFund.org to help fund the research necessary to develop alternative energy.
Ready to try out The Night Move? Head to the Woodward Avenue Brewery in Ferndale for the launch on October 9 from 6:00-10:00 p.m. You might even win prizes such as iPods, t-shirts and free rides!
If you are looking to book a trip, click here. Here you will be able to see the routes, times and other useful information. Also group rates are available!
The Night Move is ready to rev its engine and strut its stuff around town on the weekends, aren't you?
