Soak Up the Fresh Air!
Sweltering in the board room? Seeing mirages in the cubicle? These are symptoms of 'indooritis'. The cure for this ailment is to dine el fresco on your lunch break. Slip out of the harsh florescent light and embrace the sunshine at one of Detroit's restaurants with outdoor seating.

Although there aren't patios at every restaurant in the D, there are plenty of them; you just have to do your homework. But have no worries, because After 5 has hooked you up! Here's a list of some restaurants in Detroit that will help cure your indoor blues.

Feeling spicy? Head on down to Mexican Town at 3457 Bagley. Here you can get the original Flaming Fajita and Handmade Tamales.

For all you Wing Nuts out there, be part of the icy action at Hockey Town Cafe at 2301 Woodward Ave. This is a great place to catch a brew and watch the game.

If a little bit of soul food is what you're in the mood for, check out Slow's at 2138 Michigan Ave. The beer selection is great and the beef brisket is delicious!

Jazz it up at Seldom Blues located at 400 Renaissance Ctr. St 1. This southern inspired restaurant has a great view of the river and live jazz bands. A must!

Looking to impress your lunch date? La Dolce Vita at 17546 Woodward Ave. has a romantic feel and is a true hidden gem with it's quaint courtyard patio.

Cocktails at lunch? Try a martini on the expansive list at The Woodward located at 1040 Woodward Ave. With it's cool decor and great location it's no wonder that this place has been called the coolest restaurant in Detroit.

The legendary Whitney restaurant is also serving up delectable treats in the summer sun. They've recently added a garden lunch menu that features amazing food for as little as $7! Sources say be sure to try the sliders which feature pulled pork, barbecued chicken and a cheeseburger with fries.

Grab a bite to eat to go and hang out in Detroit's gathering place, Campus Martius. Campus Martius Park is located in the heart of Downtown Detroit at 800 Woodward Ave. between Fort and Michigan Ave. With the big umbrellas, live lunchtime concerts and a gorgeous fountain, you may never go back to work that afternoon.

Hanging with a variety of people on your lunch break? The Majestic Cafe is an eclectic bistro that features Mediterranean and American cuisine. This jewel of a restaurant can be found at 4120-4140 Woodward and offers both a street side patio and brand new rooftop deck not to be missed.

Summer's only in town for a few more weeks. Make the most of it and get outside!
