Coffee Goodness
Honestly, in this day and age, who doesn't live on coffee? How many mornings have you had where you just wanted to be hooked up to an IV coffee drip? And coffee shops are great but spending $4.25 on a latte every morning adds up quickly. Eventually you'll just have to invest in your own machine to wake you up, just like on those old Folgers commercials. We've found some of the best brewers out there to get your caffeine on.
Cuisinart DCC-1200 Brew Central ($79.95)
With stainless steel being a popular finish on many kitchen appliances, this coffee maker will match your modern kitchen. It has a 12-cup carafe, for you coffee fiends, and is completely programmable. And for those who like to keep things super clean, it tells you when it needs to be decalcified and has a charcoal water filter to remove impurities.
Phillips Senseo HD7810/65 ($69.99)
These single serving coffee brewers are the hottest thing on the market right now and the Senseo is one of the best options out there. It's simple to use and clean since you just throw in one of the coffee pods and hit a button. The only complaint I've seen is that there's not much variety in the pods, but similar sized pods from other companies work just as well.
Keurig B60 ($149.95)
This is another great single serving option. Use the different flavored K-Cups, instead of pods, filled with either coffee or tea to start your morning. You can even brew three different cup sizes: 5.25 oz more intense cup, 7.25 oz regular cup or 9.25 oz travel mug. This machine also features an LED display that makes it easy to read on those early mornings.
Melitta MEMB1B Mill & Brew ($54.54)
Sometimes the best coffee comes from when you grind it yourself and this brewer allows you to mill and brew. It has 7 built-in grind settings from coarse to fine and will do so at a pre-set time. It also features a stainless steel filter so there will be no more need for paper filters.
Black & Decker DCM18S Brew 'n Go Personal Coffeemaker with Travel Mug ($23.99)
For those really on the go you might want to check out this one. It's another one of those single serving brewers and it's small making it perfect for those tiny apartment kitchens. But the best part about this machine is that it comes with its own 15 oz travel mug. You'll get your mornings started right when you can just grab and go.
Mmm!
Braun Impressions KF 600 ($79.99)
Let's face it, this brewer is pretty to look at. It's got a smooth, stainless steel design. But it also brews a pretty good pot of coffee. It's fast for optimal taste and uses a Brita water filter to keep it crisp and clean. You can get rid of those paper filters since it uses a gold screen filter instead, which also makes it easy to keep clean.
Krups XP1500 Combination Coffee & Espresso Machine ($99.99)
Sometimes you want coffee and sometimes you want espresso. Krups decided to combine the two to create this combo machine. The coffee side brews a 10-cup pot and it has an easy swing-out filter for convenient cleaning. The espresso side has a 4 bar steam system that can make espresso, cappuccinos and lattes. It's easy and quick for those mornings you just want something extra.
