The Ladies Love It Neat

Just walking down the street you could see 10 different styles of facial hair and each style says something different about that person, so what does your style say about you? Read below and see if you're a style stud or if you should reach for the razor.

Smooth as a baby's....you know: Being clean shaven means that you're a clean cut and maybe even a preppy guy. It's a fresh, smooth look that we find inviting. Plus, it will make you look younger, which is great if you are a little older, but not so good if you still look 18. In fact if you do still look 18, skip down to the section on looking scruffy. Prime example:George Clooney (Older but definitely doesn't look it.)

The beard, it's not just for Seacrest anymore: The other end of the facial hair spectrum is just letting it all grow in. This may make you look older and wiser...or maybe just older. Some guys can pull it off but it does give you that wolf-man look if it's unkempt. Keep it trim if you want to sport the full beard but not look like you've walked out of a Charleton Heston movie. Prime Example: Sean Connery (insert 007 cliche)

Lookin' scruffy: The consensus in the After 5 office is that the scruffy look is the chosen favorite. This says that you are rugged, adventurous and can probably save us if we're dangling from a cliff. However, scruffiness has its drawbacks. It looks really good but it doesn't feel so good on our skin. So once you reel us in try going for the clean shaven look. Prime example: Patrick Dempsey (Seriously)

Sporting the 'stache: Back in the '70s and '80s the mustache was all the rage. I mean, Freddy Mercury was pretty hot and he had the 'stache, and Tom Selleck still sports the signature full mustache that made him famous on Magnum, PI. But boys, it just doesn't work anymore. Leave this look for retirement because you don't want to look like that lonely guy in the bar, do you? Prime example: John Stossel (Think about that one.)
