Do you have style, a sense of humor and a love of Detroit? If you answered yes to at least two of these questions then you will fall in love with the clothing and accessories available at Down with Detroit.
There are pages and pages of humorous tees and hoodies that only a Michigander or a Detroiter would love. Like an image of a tricycle along with a text that says, "Mackinac Style". That's just the beginning.
The designs are both comical and historical. Ah, remember Boblo Island and all the fun had there as a kid? Of course you do! Well so does Down with Detroit. You can get the logo of the amusement park as well as many, many other things on t-shirts, tanks, hoodies, zip-ups, undies and others. And the best part, you can design your very own line! You are in charge of the type of apparel, color, size, design and text!
Intrigued with the Down with Detroit, I got a hold of one of the owners to find out more about the fun company. It has been in business for over two years now and is run by Patrick Duggan and Matt Zebari.
According to Duggan, "Down with Detroit was started in response to a lack of choice when it came to creative Detroit apparel. We have always liked what was already out there, but the designs and style didn't update or expand very frequently."
Love the Motor City!
Currently these items are found at www.downwithdetroit.com but they are looking into entering retail stores. This won't be the last time you hear of these young entrepreneurs. They have also been involved with hosting and promoting parties, charity work and sponsorship programs.
