The Best PDAs Jun 4, 2007 | E-mail

As the world becomes more technologically advanced and we become more mobile for our jobs, it's only safe to assume that we need to be more organized. And a notebook just is not going to cut it anymore. To keep organization at our fingertips, the use of a PDA makes it easy to keep on schedule and in touch.

Dell Axim X51v (Starts at $374)

This pocket PC runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 with Windows Media Player 10. It has integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to keep you connected on the road. It also has a built-in microphone and speaker to record those important meetings. However, the battery is a little lean so you may want to invest in the extended battery.

HP iPAQ rx4240 Mobile Media Companion

(Starts at $279.99)

This device will keep you connected, entertained and organized all in one. It runs on the Windows Mobile 5.0 with the Media Player 10 along with the integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Read books or play games on this Pocket PC but it lacks a directional pad for game players, making it a little difficult.

Palm Pilot Tungsten E2 ($199)

If you don't need Wi-Fi and can work with Bluetooth then this one may be for you. It allows you to create and edit Word, PowerPoint and Excel documents, and you can even view PDFs. Turn it in to an MP3 player or insert and SD card to show off your photos, this Palm can do it. Though it doesn't come with a cradle and the charger is a little bulky it won't erase your memory if you run out of power.

Palm Treo 700p ($649.99 from Sprint)

If you're looking for an all-in-one you might want to check out this Treo. It's a phone, camera, and PDA that will keep you in touch. It doesn't have Wi-Fi but it does boast Bluetooth so you can check your email on the go. It makes texting and typing easy with its QWERTY keyboard and takes pretty decent pictures.

Palm LifeDrive ($399)

This Palm is very versatile. It has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, plays music and shows videos. It also has an integrated 4 gigabyte hard drive and doubles as a USB drive, so if you're looking for one that does everything except walk your dog, you may have found the one. However the battery is not user-replaceable and web pages can be a little slow to load.

Garmin iQue M5 (Starts at $630)

Constantly getting lost or traveling for business? Look no further than this Garmin combination PDA/GPS device. It's no larger than most PDAs but does provide an excellent navigation system and a windshield mount and car charger to keep it handy while you drive. It also has Bluetooth to keep you connected but no Wi-Fi and it's a little harder to see at night.
