Start Climbing!
Not all of us have the time and money to devote towards a gym membership. Others find it almost impossible to fit in a daily workout routine when it's hard enough to find a minute to relax. It's easy to have the hard body we are all looking for when you have the time and money, but the key to staying in shape isn't finding time to binge exercise, it's using the time you have and being creative.

As the spring days get noticeably longer and warmer, getting in that workout becomes more possible and more important as the long winter months has transformed our bodies into pudding. Fitting in workouts throughout the week can be tricky, but if you can fit these creative activities into the mundane parts of your week, those extra winter pounds will slowly but surely begin to disappear.

Quit looking for the closest parking spot: Everywhere you go, whether it's to work, school, or running errands, remind yourself that the closest parking spots are the enemy. Park as far away as possible to the door, it may seem inconvenient or insignificant to the ultimate goal, but if you can't make it to a gym or out for a quick jog every extra step counts.

Take the stairs: Take the stairs whenever it is possible: at the office, at school or at the mall. Every piece of workout equipment in a gym has its real-world equivalent, so instead of avoiding flights of stairs take advantage of them.

Don't sit all day: Whether you work in an office or small cubicle, take a couple minutes for squatting at your desk. Simply move your chair out from under you and give your thighs and buns a quick work out a few times a day. Don't worry your co-workers won't even notice, that is... until you have that rock hard behind.

Break a Sweat in Front of the Tube!
Play video games:

Yep, you heard us right. With new gaming systems like the Wii you can break a sweat in front of your TV. Do a little boxing or maybe even some Dance Dance Revolution and you'll have yourself a fun filled cardio workout in no time.

Simply stop being lazy: Choose an activity that you normally would pay someone to do; whether it's washing/waxing your car to work your arms, doing yard work to simply build a sweat, cleaning your house, or walking your dog. These activities are usually responsibilities we dread, but if you think about the physical benefits you'll gain you'll start enjoying them in not time.

Make the time & push yourself: As the summer comes and the days are longer, you have to stop blaming the early darkness of winter for staying in after 5 p.m. As you routinely begin to extend your days into the late evenings, take advantage of the later sunset. Get yourself out to the various metro parks for a run, join many of the summer sports leagues in the area, or create a goal weight for yourself or time to run a mile by the time fall comes around again and use the summer to days to work towards these goals.
