Environmentally Cute Shopping Bags Jun 8, 2007 | E-mail

Did you know that we only really use those plastic grocery bags for about 25 minutes before we just throw them away? And you do know that they take about 1,000 years to biodegrade, right? We all have to buy groceries and are plagued by those plastic bags that end up taking over our kitchen.

There is a solution though and it is bright and colorful. Envirosax sells reusable grocery bags for $7.95 a piece (or $35 for a pouch of 5 bags). I really like these bags, not only for their environmentally friendly purpose, but also because they come in several different designs: floral, monochromatic, amazonia, and retro.

Want to take it a step further? They also have an organic help bag that sells for $22 and is all natural. The other nice thing about Envirosax is that they have a barrage of links to all kinds of environmental websites to find out more about helping the earth or finding more places that sell eco-friendly merchandise.
