Hey everyone. Rossano "Big Daddy" Rea writing to all you ladies out there who ask the question, "How do I get more shapely calves?" Those smooth, hot summer nights are around the corner and we all know how diamond-like calves look. The cold nights are coming to an end and it's now time to tone and define those legs.
I want to start by saying that calves are typically a genetic thing and are among the most difficult of body parts to alter. Don't worry, it can be done! It just takes some time and good old elbow grease. Or is it knee grease? Whatever. These three exercises are guaranteed to sculpt, tone, or build those underdeveloped or less worked calves.
Step 1: The Standing Calf Raise. This is performed standing on a block, facing the wall. Carefully brace yourself on the wall and gently elevate your body using just you toes. Perform 3 sets of 20 repetitions, followed by stretches.
Step 2: Try walking around your house on your tippy-toes. This will shape your calves, tremendously. You may also want to walk up the step like this, as well.
Step 3: Jump Squatting. These squats are done without weight and are performed by simply jumping in the air and sprining off from your forefoot. Upon descent, you will immediately go into the squat position again.
Ladies (and gentlemen), calves can be really fun to build when done properly. There is nothing more sexy than a gal with shapely and defined calves (guys too)! We must not neglect our calves people. With these simple three steps, you are a sure fire for that Ms. or Mr. Legs contest on that cruise ship. So let's get moving and, remember, DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER!
