Get Glowing!
As we all know, winter is unfortunately here! And not only does this mean the winter blues and winter weight, but the most awful part of all, winter whiteness!

I am not talking whiteness as in the snow, I am talking about the whiteness of your body! We all know that the Casper look is not the hottest (and let's be honest very few of us can pull off the white-face thing like Nicole Kidman), so these three tanning methods can definitely benefit everyone because who doesn't look better with a tan?

The first method, Mystic Tan is a spray tanning booth that is a quick and easy UV free way to tan. UV rays cause wrinkles (the leather face look) and even skin cancer so avoiding them is obviously a plus. The Mystic Tan is available in three different levels with level one being the lightest shade and level three being the darkest. But if your face is looking like the color of Michael Jackson's these days, please do not try level three because you could end up looking similar to George Hamilton. The Mystic Tan only takes 60 seconds to apply and should last about one week.

However, according to Sunday's Tanning in St. Clair Shores, people avoid the Mystic Tan because they are deathly afraid that they will turn orange. The truth is that you will definitely not! Mystic Tan does not leave your skin orange by any means. Also, as your Mystic Tan gradually begins to fade your skin will continue to stay the fresh bronze color that does not in anyway resemble a carrot! According to Amy Carpenter of Sunday's Tanning, 'People are often skeptical of the Mystic Tan because of the orange factor, but it is really a fast and fun way to get a great tan.'

Mystic Tan however, is just one of the three tanning methods you can do to get that enviable fake summer glow. Tanning beds are of course the most popular method to get a tan because of their quickness and variety. However, we all know tanning beds are not a safe way to get a tan. But let's be honest, they are still the cheapest and most convenient way to get some 'sun' in the painful winter months so of course many of us will still sneak in despite the risk factors.

The final method of tanning is the often dreaded and feared self-tanning lotion. Self-tanners are often a scary endeavor that will leave you wondering if you will be tiger striped or have that funky smell in an hour. Lucky for us that is now a fear of the past.

There are so many wonderful self-tanning products on the market today the biggest problem is which one to choose. Some staff favorites currently are the Neutrogena self-tanning line that provides you with a streak-free bronze glow or the L'oreal Sublime gel that is an easy to use self tanner that leaves you with a healthy, polished tan.

Now hurry up and stop scaring your friends with your ghostly white skin.
