Take Your Pooch Out
Looking for somewhere to take your pooch pal for a little fun? The backyard and same old walk around the block can get a little old, so it's time to find a new playground! Here are some of the best dog parks in Michigan where you AND your puppy will find many ways to entertain yourselves!
Orion Oaks Dog Park in Lake Orion offers 14 acres of fenced-in area with access to Lake Sixteen for the dogs to swim! (Sorry, dogs only). There are also waste bags for easy clean up and a water station to rehydrate. This park also came in as second runner-up for Best Dog Park in Michigan Tails Pet Magazine's Reader's Choice Awards!
The E-Z Dog Park and Agility Center in Howell offers 8 acres of an off-leash fenced-in run-around area for you and your dog. Doggie waste bags and water tubs are available for easy cleaning. If your dog is in need of a little taming, there are even obedience and agility sessions available as well as indoor training! Stop by, run around and have some fun, take a class, and finish off at the grooming center and pamper your pooch with a relaxing shampoo at the end of his eventful day.
Spoil Your Pup
Shaggy Pines Dog Park in Grand Rapids was recently chosen as the 3rd best dog park in the nation! With completely fenced-in grounds, a one mile jogging trail, plenty of "dry" areas as well as beaches, a doggy mountain, self-serve wash tubs and much, much more... the award is definitely well deserved. There is even a doggy gift store as well as a coffee bar and lounge area. Don't forget to join the birthday club for a surprise and celebration on your dog's birthday! It may be a hike, but isn't your furry best friend worth it?
