DANGEROUSLY DELICIOUS PIES FINDS HOME

After months of missing delicious pies by the slice, Dangerously Delicious Pies opened their Detroit brick-and-mortar location to bring us paradise on a plate again.

Dangerously Delicious Pies first popped up in the old Comet Bar and then Third Street Bar, but it was an idea long before then. Two musicians and friends started cooking up pies and selling them at shows and on the road, and since then, the pies and the rock ‘n’ roll haven’t stopped. The team behind Dangerously Delicious Pies opened their first brick-and-mortar location in 2016 in Wyandotte, and not too long after the Detroit spot followed.

The menu of sweet and savory pies changes daily because the pie ideas are always flowing, so both slices and whole pies are available until someone snatches them up. When they’ve got it, their S.M.O.G. is their most popular, stuffed with steak, mushrooms, onions and gruyere cheese. For vegetarians, they’ve got their Hot Rod Potato, full of red potatoes, sweet peppers, jalapenos and cheddar cheese. Their sweet pie menu offers a Baltimore Bomb, that they say “tastes like a chocolate chip cookie on steroids”, homemade pecan and apple, salted caramel and more.

A slice goes for $7 and a whole pie for $35. You can check out the full menu here.
