SHAKE SHACK OPENS IN DETROIT

SHAKE SHACK OPENS IN DETROIT

Our mouths have been watering ever since we heard about it coming to town and today, February 23, our taste buds will be rewarded for the wait- Shake Shack opens their doors at 11 a.m. at 660 Woodward Ave. in Campus Martius Park.

Shake Shack is known for their all-natural, antibiotic-free Angus beef burgers, chicken, griddled flat-top dogs, fresh-made frozen custard, beer, wine, and those delicious crispy crinkle cut fries. Their products are never served with added hormones.

You can order anything from a SmokeShack cheeseburger with all-natural smoked Niman Ranch bacon, chopped cherry pepper and ShackSauce, to a Motor City Mix with vanilla custard, peanut butter sauce, Bon Bon Bon dark chocolate and Rocky’s honey roasted peanuts and chocolate toffee. The Detroit location also offers beer, wine and get this- even dog treats, specially made at Shake Shack for your four-legged friend.

Their first location popped up as a roadside burger stand in New York City’s Madison Square Park in 2004 and the hype hasn’t died down one bit- there’s almost always a line wrapping around the shack whenever their windows are open.

Shake Shack, with a mission of Stand For Something Good, has since opened multiple spots in 16 states and the District of Columbia. They’re also in London, Istanbul, Dubai, Tokyo, Moscow, Seoul and other international locations.

The Detroit location is Shake Shack’s first Michigan spot and the big ribbon cutting ceremony is set for 10:45 a.m. outside the Shake Shack doors. They’ll open to the public at 11 a.m.

Stop by Shake Shack in the First National Building at 660 Woodward Ave. and see the full menu here. You can also visit Shake Shack on social media to keep up with the buzz.
