THE EMPOWERMENT PLAN LAUNCHES RETAIL LINE

For years, the Empowerment Plan has been asked to bring its coat to the retail market and now they are! 

Five years ago Veronika Scott created a sleeping bag coat for a class project. Over the years the project evolved into the Empowerment Plan, a company that provides employment to homeless individuals to manufacture a coat that transforms into a sleeping bag at night or an over- the-shoulder bag when not in use.

With increasing interest and inquiries into when they would bring their innovative product to the retail market, the time has finally come with the announcement of Maxwell Detroit! Named after one of their first employees, Annis Maxwell, who suddenly passed away a few years ago, this new line stands for something much deeper.

Maxwell Detroit is a limited edition line, offering one coat for men ($375), one for women ($375) and one unisex sleep coat ($400). 

Only 250 coats are available for purchase in this initial launch. All proceeds will support Empowerment Plan in creating and sustaining employment opportunities for those in need.
