Craft Beer and Craftsmanship @ Pewabic
Saturday, September 7
Enjoy craft beer and refreshments in Pewabic’s newly renovated courtyard, meet the design team and try your hand at pressing a tile. Get a behind-the-scenes look into the production process, see some of the latest ceramic art and learn how Pewabic tile has helped shape Detroit design for over 116 years.
A Look Inside The Book Tower

After removing decades of grime, painstakingly restoring the façade’s remarkable architectural details, and installing nearly 2,500 windows, Bedrock invites you inside Book Tower for a tour of its storied spaces, led by those working on its transformation.

More than 30 studios and galleries will open late throughout the district. Sheds 2, 3, 4, and 5 will be open with interactive experiences, brand activations with Detroit’s up-and-coming designers, designer spotlights, installations, and parties.

City Cypher @ Beacon Park

Closing out Month of Design at Beacon Park with a celebration of the three neighborhoods featured in the Detroit City of Design Competition: Southwest Detroit, Hope Village and Grandmont Rosedale. This public event will feature a live talent/entertainment cypher between the three neighborhoods. Enjoy spoken word, music, dance and more while experimenting with the prototypes before they are moved to their respective neighborhoods.
