2017 Guide to Detroit Cocktail Classic
Detroit Cocktail Classic is back for its 4th year with a series of workshops, cocktail-paired dinners and the epic Grand Tasting at Eastern Market.
Detroit Cocktail Classic is hosting a week of creative, immersive and memorable events at locations across the city, including the hottest restaurants in town. Don’t miss this premiere cocktail event, November 13th-18th.
Monday, November 13th
Whiskey Rebellion @ 8:00 – 11:00 p.m.

Kegged cocktails, craft beer, and light fare from chef Doug Hewitt Jr., plus live music by The Jug Band and Shine on Kentucky Moon
Tuesday, November 14th
Detroit Hospitality Workshop @ 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. ($50)

The Detroit Hospitality Workshop offers a chance for people who like to take care of people to come together, share ideas, and offer inspiration to one another.
Pierre Ferrand Cognac Cocktail Dinner @ 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. ($90)

Victor Bouvier from Maison Ferrand hosts a special Cognac Cocktail Dinner at Selden Standard.
Highland Park Cocktail Dinner @ 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. ($65)

This dinner will feature specially selected scotch that’s paired with a four-course dinner from Chef Joe Flores.

USBG Cocktail Competition Workshop @ 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. ($50)

Cocktail competitions have many different components but one common element – they all have judges and competitors and both require an understanding of the other. This two part seminar will feature industry experts from around the country teaching best practices for judges and competitors.

Bad Luck Bar is partnering with Lot 40 Rye to provide signature happy hour cocktails in one of Detroit’s most exclusive spaces.

Detroit Cocktail Classic: Grand Tasting @ 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. ($50)
Eastern Market – 2934 Russell St.
Over 40 of Detroit’s top drinking establishments are paired with top shelf spirit brands to concoct a signature drink for the occasion that will be served at their unique “Libation Station.” Attendees will taste their way around the event, interacting and engaging with representatives from each establishment and spirit purveyor. Each attendee will receive 12 beverage samples with admission.
Saturday, November 18th
Hangover Brunch @ 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
