5 Things To Do This Weekend

5 Things To Do This Weekend

We’re ready for the weekend – here are a few of our favorite things!

Head to Beacon Park an take a spin on Los Trompos. The free interactive art exhibit comes straight from Mexico City and will be in town all month.

Get tickets to see The Grapes of Wrath at the Detroit Opera House or Waitress at the Fisher Theatre. Students (college or high school) can bring the school ID to the box office two hours before evening show any night except Saturday for $25 tickets.

Lace up your shoes and run for a good cause Saturday. PurpleStride, a 5k for pancreatic cancer research, is happening on the Riverfront and it’s only the start of running season in the D.

Bring the special lady in your life downtown for a Mother’s Day brunch, enjoy some time together and – hopefully – avoid a long wait. Still need a gift? Stop at one of these stores.

Unwind before the work week at Detroit Vineyards Winery & Tasting Room – located in the former Stroh’s ice cream factory – is officially open for business.
