5 Things To Do This Weekend

50 years ago Apollo landed on the moon and Saturday night there’s a throwback bash at Tangent Gallery. Need more ideas for the weekend? Here are 5 things to do in Detroit.

Listen up – Crash Detroit is back! Street bands are popping up around town tonight, the free music festival is at Clark Park Saturday with an after-party at Old Miami and closes out at the Dequindre Cut Freight Yard on Sunday.

Find a beach read, an old favorite or something out of your conform zone at the annual Detroit Festival of Books and then join the after-party at Eastern Market Brewing Co.

Tamia is taking over Beacon Park and giving a FREE concert and Kool Moe Dee, Doug E. Fresh and DJ Mal-Ski will be there too!

Taste tacos from around town and vote for your favorite at the Taco Showdown! Bonus: There will be Margaritas too!

Go for a good run at the Sundae 5/15k on Belle Isle and then indulge in a sweet treat to celebrate National Ice Cream Day on Sunday!
