5 Things To Do This Weekend

5 Things To Do This Weekend

Hard to believe but it’s December this weekend! Enjoy one of the last weekends of 2018 with a lot of holiday fun.

Get ready to ROLL! Experience art in a brand new way – The Library Street Collective is opening an indoor, interactive art installation that allows you to skate around 1001 Woodward while admiring colorful inflatable objects hanging from the ceiling. Rainbow City Roller Rink opens Friday and it is FREE!

Raise a glass and enjoy a drink at the Fisher Building Friday night during Hall of Whiskey.

Noel Night is ALL Day in Midtown this Saturday! There are over 110 participating venues offering shopping deals, live music, carriage rides and late night parties.  Check out our Midtown Dining Guide to find the best places to eat.

Looking for more holiday fun? Enjoy holiday shopping and a special speakeasy at Light Up the Aquarium on Belle Isle on Thursday night, go for a Jingle Bell Run at The Corner Ballpark Saturday morning, put on your Santa suit and bar crawl through Royal Oak in the afternoon, and stop by the Masonic Temple for holiday shopping at the Detroit Urban Craft Fair.

Our sport teams can be tough to watch at times but we’re still a sport city that roots for the home team. The Pistons play the Bills on Friday and Golden State on Saturday. The Wings take on the Avalanche Sunday night. And the Detroit Lions welcome the LA Rams to Ford Field (watch the game at the stadium or at Beacon Park’s Tailgate party).
