5 Things To Do This Weekend

5 Things To Do This Weekend

Leave your coat at home, get dressed up and enjoy the warmer weather – spring is here and it’s time to hit the town!

Start your day at Lady of the House in Corktown. The highly acclaimed restaurant (GQ recently named it one of the best new restaurants in America) is open for brunch Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 2pm. Relax in the intimate, elegant dining room and experience the new foodie favorite.

For more grandeur, stop by the Fisher Mansion for a tour of the 18,000 square foot estate in Boston Edison. The $10 ticket supports the Junior League of Detroit.

Find a fancy hat at the Peacock Room or spiffy duds at George Gregory and start planning for Derby Day! Don’t forget to enter to win $50 to Detroit staple – Green Dot Stables.

Go downtown for fun and games in the downtown Detroit parks. Play free arcade games at Beacon Park, get a selfie with the Spirit of Detroit and D-Tron, grab a bite from a food truck in Cadillac Square, try augmented reality games in Capitol Park and play life-size foosball and bumper bubble soccer in Grand Circus Park.

The Avengers premieres Friday and if you can’t get enough of the MARVEL universe stop by Vault of Midnight for comics, games and swag. The comic shop is also hosting a game board party at Checker Bar for International Tabletop Day. The Loaded Die is hosting its own board game party at Brew Detroit.
