5 Things To Do This Weekend

5 Things To Do This Weekend

Take some time and explore the neighborhoods of Detroit this weekend.

Get ready for a weekend at the Market! It’s Flower Day on Sunday and there will be hundreds of flowers and plants for your home and garden. Saturday market will have all the usual goodies for your kitchen (and stomach). If you’re looking for a good meal – check out Stache International next to Gratiot Central Market.

Spring into Corktown Saturday for a day filled of free fun events. Do yoga in the park, go on a historic walking tour and stop by the shops along Michigan Avenue. If you need ideas for where to eat, check out our Corktown dining guide.

Go for a shopping spree on the Avenue of Fashion! Soulcial Scene is hosting a Black Business Scavenger Hunt on Saturday. Shop local and have fun at a brunch party at the Livernois Pop-Up Shop.

There will be Camping on the Cut this weekend but if you haven’t reserved your campsite, you can still take part in the fun. The Dequindre Cut Freight Yard opens Saturday  Shop local vendors, listen to live music, do yoga, play outdoor games and check out the biergarten.

See Detroit in a way, Riverside Kayak Connection is hosting a Detroit Historical Canal Tour Sunday. While you’re on the Eastside, stop by Rose’s Fine Food for a good meal.
