5 Things To Do This Weekend

It’s Memorial Day Monday and we plan to enjoy every minute of the long weekend. With warm, sunny days in the forecast we’re ready to get outside and get ready for the summer!

Start the weekend off right and check out The Pink Flamingo from 6pm to 10pm Thursday night. The farm to table community gathering in North Corktown is everything you need to unwind from the week and get ready for the weekend.

Techno lovers are flocking to Detroit this weekend for the MOVEMENT Festival. Check out our festival guide for all the details and find the top 10 shows you don’t want to miss.

If you don’t have festival tickets, stop by The Belt Sunday for The Do Over’s FREE pop-up concert. The artist is a secret but we hear it’s worth coming out for.

Enjoy the sun and start of the summer season with MoGo Detroit. Ride along the riverfront, take the Dequindre Cut and check out the new Freight Yard for lunch and pick up goodies for your holiday BBQ in Eastern Market.

Hit the beach at Campus Martius and shop the Summer Markets at Cadillac Square, Capitol Park and the 1441 Woodward. The Cadillac Square Beer Garden opens for the summer season Friday with German inspired food by Cortina Local and drinks from Central Kitchen + BarAtwater and Great Lakes. If you’re looking for a more intimate setting, the Villages Bier & Weingarten opens Friday night in West Village.
