5 Things To Do This Weekend

Who doesn’t love free? This weekend there are free plays (and movies), concerts and festivals downtown. Get ready for another busy weekend in Detroit!

Lin Manuel Miranda fans will enjoy a musical fix this weekend at New Center Park. The creator’s first Broadway hit, In the Heights, will be performed for free starting Wednesday night. Mark your calendars because Hamilton is coming to the Fisher Theatre in spring 2019.

Beacon Park has sparked a lot of new activity downtown and will celebrate it’s one year anniversary with a full schedule of activity this weekend. Don’t miss the Sunset Session + Silent Disco Friday night, a FREE Saint Motel concert Saturday night and bring the kids to the city Sunday for Family Fun Day.

Get ready to make some noise this weekend because the Crash Detroit is back! The music may find you Friday but you can the Festival Saturday at Lincoln Street Art Park.  Crash in the Cut Sunday at the Dequindre Cut Freight Yard.

Head to El Club Sunday afternoon for Fleatroit Junk City. Pick up some flea market finds and grab a LAIKA DOG. The popular Corktown hot dog joint is closed for building repair but plans to re-open before year end and pop-up around town in the meantime.

What’s weekend without brunch? Try something new and go to Eatori introduced its brunch menu this month and it’s delicious. We suggest you try the berry french toast or chicken and waffles.
