Avalon Opens Cafe + Biscuit Bar in New Center

What’s old is new again at Avalon’s New Center Cafe + Biscuit Bar. Home-style biscuits, Faygo floats with Detroit made Reilly Craft Creamery ice cream, and a custom art piece displaying the company’s original Cass Corridor location brings a message of love to a new neighborhood.  In addition to new favorites (we recommend the turkey Gouda, and apple butter biscuit), customers can find Avalon’s classic loaf breads and baked goods. With ample seating inside and out, the Cafe + Biscuit Bar is bound to become a neighborhood hot spot.

New Center is heating up these days, as Midtown’s growth and the completion of the QLine has generated a growing interest in the neighborhood.

Atomic Chicken opened on Woodward earlier this year. It will soon be joined by Rose’s Fine Food spin-off Wilda’s. New York City’s famous City Bakery is expected to open in the Fisher Building later this fall. The Fisher Building will also welcome Rachel Lutz’s relocated Peacock Room and sister store Yama to its growing retail tenants.

Avalon Cafe + Biscuit Bar is located at 2990 W. Grand Boulevard. Open 7AM to 6PM Monday thru Friday, 7AM to 3PM Saturday and closed Sunday.

Due to COVID-19, After 5 Detroit has paused operations indefinitely.
We hope everyone stays safe and healthy.
Thank you for joining us on this journey for all of these years!
