Bird Bee, a clothing store with vintage inspired and contemporary items like shoes, jewelry and accessories, opens its brick and mortar location Thursday, May 25.

The lifestyle clothing boutique offers a mix of bohemian and vintage inspired clothing pieces, in efforts to bring flare from the west coast to the midwest. Bird Bee operated an online retailer and a pop-up shop since 2015, with special spots in 2016’s Bedrock Holiday House.

Taylor Bolleber, Bird Bee’s owner, wanted to create a shopping experience unlike any other kind in the Downtown area. When she became a Motor City Match Space Awardee and a Comerica Hatch Detroit winner, the Bird Bee concept started to look like a brick and mortar store.

The styles on the racks are very trendy, featuring rompers, flowy dresses, gladiators and boot heels, fringe bags, distressed denim pieces, casual t-shirts and more.

Bolleber also sells jewelry and sunglasses at the store, that accompany the Free People army jackets and Tiger Rose distressed shorts well.

The shop opens in The Albert in Capitol Park at 5 p.m. on Thursday, with discounts and refreshments.

Stop by this Thursday evening at 1214 Griswold and visit Bird Bee online here and on social media here.
