Broadway in Detroit Presents Wicked

Follow the Yellow Brick Road (or Woodward) to the Detroit Opera House – Broadway in Detroit is bringing Wicked downtown!

This isn’t the Oz you remember from the silver screen. Wicked shines a new light on the infamous Wicked Witch of the West and introduces you to a new set of favorite songs. Whether you are seeing the Broadway sensation for the first time or the fifth, you don’t want to miss this show.  Actresses Ginna Claire Mason (Glinda) and Mary Kate Morrissey (Elphaba) shine on stage and clearly enjoy performing together. Mason keeps the quirks and charms Kristen Chenoweth originally brought to the role and Morrissey delivers a familiar but original performance as the Wicked Witch.

The modern musical takes fan-fiction from the web to the stage. You know the characters but you don’t know these stories of Gilda, the Wizard, Scarcrow, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion and, of course, the Wicked Witch. The beautiful story of friendship will make you smile and change you for good. The cast

Don’t miss the action, Wicked will be at the Detroit Opera House August 8 – September 2.

Enjoy a night on the town, make reservations at one of Detroit’s hottest restaurants.
