CulturePop Brings FREE Arts Events To Downtown Detroit
Get outside this summer and experience the arts in Detroit.
Throughout August, CulturePop will offer FREE workshops and performances at downtown parks. Check out the schedule below:
Signal Return @ Cadillac Square

Signal Return is bringing its ready-to-go letterpress print shop so people can print and takeaway posters.

Pewabic Pottery will showcase their process featuring hand-made ceramic pots, fast-fired raku style, creating a one-of-a-kind iridescent work of art
Heritage Works @ Campus Martius

See Heritage Works on the Campus Martius main stage as they present Kinetic Deytwa, exploring Detroit movement languages and traditions via performances and workshops.

Join Detroit Symphony Orchestra on the Campus Martius main stage for an acoustic percussion and dance celebrating the legacy of famed Nigerian Afrobeat creator Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
Eisenhower Dance @ Campus Martius

Eisenhower Dance Detroit will activate Campus Martius with a dance performance featuring energetic and soulful Motown music.

POPsicle Music, presented by MSU Community Music School-Detroit, includes improvised percussion compositions paired with popsicles inspiring arts commentary on social media.

Join Concrete Oasis with fun for all ages as you make Night Lamps. The lamps will be used to light up a Soul Train line, where a dance troupe invites everyone to join in.
