The Detroit Design Festival (DDF) is a citywide celebration of design and creativity. Beginning September 26th, DDF offers a series of programs, panels and events that explore the various ways design is shaping the way we live and work. Here are a few ways you can experience the 7th annual Detroit Design Festival.

Landscape Architecture Ride Detroit
A 16-mile bike ride that combines Detroit city streets and green space with three lectures and several mini-stops.

Handbag Workshop @ Detroit Denim Co.
Received personalized instruction to design, cut, sew & finish a denim bag in an exclusive workshop hosted by Detroit Denim Co.

$50 registration required, limited space.

Eastern Market After Dark
More than 30 studios and galleries will open late throughout the Eastern Market district. Sheds 2, 3, 4, and 5 will be activated with unique experiences, brand activation, designer spotlights, installations, and parties.

Downtown Detroit Wine Stroll
Check out several architecturally significant buildings while enjoying select wines paired with an appetizer at each of eight unique venues.

Mexicantown Walking Tour
Tour the homes, churches, and murals of immigrant artists and residents who helped development a strong Latin community in Mexicantown.

Light Up Livernois
Experience design through open studios, performances, a game of putt-putt designed by local designers, urban furniture installations and more as local Livernois businesses and Detroit based artists explore the various ways design can shape the future of Detroit’s Historic Avenue of Fashion.
