Sidewalk Festival is back for its 5th annual celebration of Detroit landscape and culture through performance and interactive installation. This year we are exploring the theme: RADICAL MOMENT(UM). Over the course of 2 days, Sidewalk Festival invites artists to explore the concept of radical moments and movements in our collective history through innovative works of dance, theatre, music and installation art. As usual, we don’t use any traditional stages – all work will take place in alleys, storefronts, sidewalks, parking lots, the roofless warehouses of Artist Village and the street itself.
Beginning, with Friday evening performances and installations for the dark on August 4 from 7-11 pm and continuing Saturday, August 5 from 3-10pm.
