A dialogue between neighbors

Model D is partnering with Live6 to produce Speak Easy: a dialogue between neighbors. This will be the first in a series of dialogues, with topics for upcoming sessions to be determined by participant recommendations. This pilot edition will focus on the relationship between institutions and the surrounding communities.

The event will open with an oral history from a native with a dual perspective: Terrance Anderson is both a University of Detroit Mercy graduate, and a former resident of the Fitzgerald neighborhood. There will be a panel discussion with students and staff from both University of Detroit Mercy and Marygrove College, and residents from adjacent neighborhoods. The panel will be followed by small group discussions and a collective conversation about how both parties can benefit in the community/university relationship.

Where: University of Detroit Mercy, Grounds Coffeehaus, Lower Level Student Center
On campus parking: Livernois Entrance
