Quintessential Whiskey Drinks: Manhattan & Old Fashioned
The afternoon will start and end with a whiskey punch.
We will begin with a short instruction covering the history of these cocktails, their builds, their ingredients, and basic technique for muddling and stirring. We will cover basic styles of whiskey and vermouth, how their flavor profiles differ, and what that translates to in cocktail development. We will set up the ingredient station with various citrus and herb garnishes, relevant flavored house syrups and demerara sugar, different vermouths, different bitters, and different styles or rye, bourbon, and whiskey. You’ll have an opportunity to recreate the traditional recipes or experiment with your own creations. Best of all, you’ll get to name your cocktails!
An array of snacks and light bites will be offered. A menu will be posted next week after we transition to our next seasonal dinner menu.
