Filson, the Seattle-based rugged outdoor outfitter, invites the Metro Detroit community to a Flapjacks & Forestry pancake breakfast at Filson Detroit in Midtown on Saturday, August 5 at 9 a.m.
The event will offer a pancake breakfast, live music from Behind the Times, a 360O virtual reality experience of Heybrook Lookout Tower and the chance to win an annual recreation pass. Event attendees will also have the opportunity to browse Filson’s exclusive U.S. Forest Service Collection, which includes limited-edition duffels, jackets, shirts and other Filson goods. The U.S. Forest Service (USFS) and the National Forest Foundation (NFF) will host a conversation about wildfire management and outdoor recreation opportunities in Detroit.
All ticket proceeds will benefit the NFF, the nonprofit partner of the U.S. Forest Service, working to promote the health and enjoyment of 193-million-acre National Forest System. This event is part of a national Filson partnership with the USFS and NFF to raise awareness and appreciation for all National Forest System lands in the Pacific Northwest Region through story telling content as well as completing restoration work on the Heybrook Lookout Tower in Index, Washington.
