Martin Luther King Jr. Day Breakfast

Don’t miss this incredible annual event commemorating the life and times of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.! Hosted by the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, this exciting day starts at 8 AM in the Ford Freedom Rotunda with a full buffet breakfast, followed by a keynote presentation in the GMT.

The keynote speaker for #MLKDay2020 is none other than Earl Lewis, Ph.D. President emeritus of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation (2013-2018), Dr. Lewis is currently the Thomas C. Holt Distinguished University Professor of History, Afroamerican and African Studies, and Public Policy at the University of Michigan.

FREE Museum-wide family activities take place for the rest of the day, with activities including face painting, a live artist, moderated youth discussions, educational films and a lot more!
