Skate N’ Dance is back, and this time we want you to show your true colors at our special Pride Glow-Out edition on Friday, February 28!
Kicking off from 6 p.m. to midnight, we’re inviting you to wear your brightest glow gear and favorite LED lights as you cruise under the black lights of Detroit’s Lexus Velodrome. Everyone is invited to strap on their skates and get physically active at this inclusive event celebrating Detroit LGBTQ+ pride.
We will offer a special program of activities to help keep your muscles warm, test your strength, and challenge your competitive skate skills.
Yoga Skate Stretch | 7:00pm-7:15pm
Get loose with a rolling yoga skate stretch so that your muscles are warm for a long night of skating.
Roller Aerobics | 7:15pm-8:00pm
Build lean muscles with a fun and unique workout on skates that will get the energy flowing and build your confidence on wheels.
Track race | 8:30pm-9:00pm (Registration at the front desk)
Test your skills on the rink as you compete against other skaters around the Lexus Velodrome’s 50-degree banked track.
Skate-Off | 10:00pm-10:30pm (Open floor)
Give us your best moves during the breakdancing skate-off to see who will be crowned champion of the rink, featuring performances from the Motown Rollers.
To make things fun for families and adults, we’ve got a special family skate session from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. that offers free admission for children 17 and under. Kids can develop their skating skills while adults relax at the Spoke Easy Bar, or enjoy a yoga skate stretch.
large parties are invited to reserve a private party booth, which is perfect for birthdays, employee outings, or skate groups. The private booth includes the following amenities:
