Feature-length documentaries are enjoying a higher profile than ever in recent years, but just as with the short live-action and animation categories, short documentaries – which are generally every bit as powerful as the year’s nominated feature-length docs – have enjoyed a rapidly growing base of enthusiasts who love the experience of seeing them on the big screen.
