Monday, October 1st

Heaven Hill Happy Hour @ 4pm to 6pm

Woodford Reserve Cocktail Dinner @ 6pm

Expect personal service, handwritten menus, and a fresh, comfortable atmosphere at Mabel Gray. Chef Rigato is at the helm, and he and his staff will welcome you to their neighborhood.

Heaven Hill Brands Cocktail Dinner @ 6pm
Apparatus Room – 250 W. Larned
Helmed by two Michelin-Starred Chef Thomas Lents, the Chef’s Table at Detroit Foundation Hotel hosts the Heaven Hill Cocktail Dinner. Enjoy the companionship of your fellow diners as Chef Lents and his team prepare portions of the menu in front of you paired with Heaven Hill Brands – Elijah Craig, Rittenhouse Rye, Domaine de Canton, Dubbonet, Pama, and Lunazul. Be prepared to place your palate and your evening in his hands during this intimate dining experience. Space is extremely limited.


Tuesday, October 2nd

Maker’s Mark Cocktail Dinner @ 6pm
The Peterboro – 420 Peterboro St
This dinner features a four course menu with welcome cocktail and bourbon pairing. The four courses are soup, dumpling, entree, and dessert (vegetarian option available). There will be an exclusive distillery tasting panel release of their premier Maker’s Private Select as well as various traditional Maker’s expressions. Guests will be receiving a hand dipped Maker’s Mark glass as well.

Otus Supply Takeover/Release of  Talon Gin @ 6pm
Detroit City Distillery – 2462 Riopelle St
Detroit City Distillery and their friends from Otus Supply present the release of Talon Gin. To celebrate, the fine folks from Otus Supply will be taking over not only the bar at DCD, but the cocktail menu, and the entertainment as they present live music in the distillery. Release starts at 6pm and music starts at 8pm.

Detroit City Distillery brings the infamous Last Word and Alley Bar from Ann Arbor to the city. While the menu will be created by Guest Bartenders and centered around Detroit City Distillery spirits, they will be complimented with Norden Aquavit.

Norden Aquavit is a modern approach to a traditional Scandinavian Spirit. Made in Michigan from caraway and select botanicals distilled with 100% organic grain spirits grown on midwest farms.

The Kraken Karaoke @ 8pm

Sing and drink the night away and share stories of The Kraken. As it is told, The Kraken Rum is an imported rum from the Caribbean blended with secret spices. Named for the sea beast of myth and legend, The Kraken Rum is strong, rich, black and smooth. It is said that a ship carrying one of the largest quantities of black spiced rum ever to be brought over from the Caribbean islands, for unexplained reasons, never reached its destination. Stories were plentiful, and while an attack by the Kraken is suspected, no stories were ever confirmed.


Friday, October 5th

Detroit Cocktail Classic: Grand Tasting @ 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. ($40)

The Detroit Cocktail Classic is the cocktail party of the year, encompassing two sheds in historic Eastern Market and featuring Detroit’s most celebrated drinking establishments, spirits, and brands serving up craft cocktails.

Cocktail Classic After Party Presented by Evan Williams @ 10pm to 2am
Deluxx Fluxx – 1274 Library St
The party continues way past Detroit Cocktail Classic 2018 as Evan Williams Bourbon presents the After Party at Deluxx Fluxx with Evan Williams cocktails on draft and Solid Soul Club – Eastside Jon (Funk Night) and Mike Trombley (Macho City) – spinning a night of deep soul and funk 45s. FREE with your Cocktail Classic wristband. Entry not guaranteed.

You’ve almost made it through an entire week of DCW events and Valentine Distilling is rewarding you with a no frills Hangover Brunch. You bloody well earned it.

Whiskey Factory Tour @ 12pm/2pm/4pm/6pm 
Detroit City Distillery – 2462 Riopelle St
Participants will learn about the art and science of the distilling process from grain to glass. We’ll taste new and aging whiskey under development in the rack house. We’ll talk history and sample a range of spirits including vodka, gin, brandy and of course….whiskey.

Smoked Bourbon Release Party @ 6pm to 11pm 
Detroit City Distillery – 2462 Riopelle St
Attend Detroit City Distillery’s first release of their “Bespoke Bourbon Series,” a celebration of the origins of craft whiskey. Three limited-edition single barrel bourbons with unique mash bills featuring Michigan grains and bottles adorn with hand-drawn illustrations will be released over the next three months. Live Music by The Whiskey Charmers


Sunday, October 7th

Deep Eddy Vodka brings its laid-back, handcrafted Austin vibes to the cozy confines of the Detroit Shipping Company to celebrate the close of Detroit Cocktail Week with great food and Brunch cocktails.
