Lost River Opens in Detroit

Lost River Opens in Detroit

Detroit loves a good tiki bar (from Mutiny Bar to The Skip and Sugar House when they morph into them on special occasions) and it’s a good thing because the Lost River is coming to Morningside.

Keep an eye for the custom neon signs, created by George Vidas, that welcomes you to Lost River. Inside you’re greeted with more colorful fun – netting on the walls, strings of lights and fun tiki themed decorations (colorful straws, tropical flowers, leis…you name it).  You’ll also see a floral mural by local artist Ouizi (who has murals in Eastern Market, Corktown, West Village, and even in Shanghai, China).

Find a seat and enjoy Tiki drinks – Mai Tais, Fog Cutters, boilermakers and painkillers. Don’t forget plenty of Mezcal and gin too. Drinks will be served up in Lost River’s custom tiki mugs – made by Hamtramck Ceramck.

Lost River opens in the former home of the Memories Jazz & Blues Lounge, Friday, June 8th at 7 pm and again on Saturday, June 9th.
