TEN NAIL BAR MIXES CHAMPAGNE AND MANICURES

Anika Jackson and Kelli Coleman just opened the first ever modern nail bar in Detroit, The TEN, serving up manicures, pedicures, special combo treatments and more, with the option to sip on coffee, tea, wine and champagne, all while waiting for your nails to dry.

Jackson, from Detroit, and Coleman, from Birmingham, have been friends for many years and have both lived and traveled in big cities and wanted to bring an interesting and engaging concept back home for friends, family and busy professionals. They didn’t want people to have to travel outside of the city to get their nails done anymore.

The TEN Nail Bar is located Downtown and is a Bedrock property, making it one of few beauty services in the company’s portfolio, but it’s the first nail salon in the mix.

The two women wanted to bring a service that’s become relatively routine to many right to the heart of the city with a touch class and a big city feel with approachable prices. Nail services range anywhere from $15 to $95, depending on the amount of attention, time and polish you want.

Customers are even able to purchase a membership that comes with two manicures and pedicures a month. If you’re looking for additional pampering, the nail bar offers gel manicures and pedicures in addition to combination sets, hand and feet massages, collagen and nail art add-ons and plenty more.

The TEN’s hours run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays so that customers can come in after work or even on lunch since they offer an express manicure that’s set to last only 20 minutes and cost $20 for nail cleansing, shaping, cuticle care and a polish. The space is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

The TEN will book your appointments by phone at 313-315-3010 or through their convenient nail bar app, which is available both on iTunes and Google Play.

The TEN Nail Bar is located at 1215 Griswold St. and can be found on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
