Get Ready For Summer Fun and Festivities at GM River Days!
GM River Days presented by the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort, returns June 22-24, 2018. This one of a kind festival takes place along the Detroit Riverfront and includes activities on land and water. Experience all the RiverWalk has to offer, from the jet-ski demos to live music, sand sculptures, delicious eats and much more! Here are the 10 things you don’t want to miss:
Kick-off the River Days festivities with Shimmer on The River, a 60’s inspired event with retro cocktails, groovy photo opps and unlimited carnival games & rides! Enter to win a pair of tickets to the spectacular event!
Start the weekend off right with Yoga on the River Saturday, June 23 at 9:30am.
Take to the water and go for a ride on the Tall Ship Appledore and Diamond Jack River Boat Tours.
See the city from new heights and go zip-lining on the Riverfront (at St.Antoine and Beaubien) – ride for $15 and two for $25.
Go for a spin on the ferris wheel and have some good old fashion fun at the carnival.
Make it a family affair – bring your kids or nieces/nephews for an exciting day on the riverfront. Check out the Kids Zone and enjoy outdoor activities with the Michigan DNR.
The Detroit River turns into a stage for the USA Jet-Ski Freestyle Champions. All weekend long, pilots will preform air jumps, backflips, corkscrew spins and underwater dives for the crowds along the riverfront.
Watch the Tuskegee Airmen pilots preform a thrilling aerial show with gravity defying maneuvers and stunts. Catch the show at 1pm on Friday and at 3:30pm on Saturday and Sunday.
From reggae to R&B and timeless Rock and Roll – enjoy a variety of live musical performances on four stages along the Riverfront.
Make it a long weekend and close out the Riverfront fun with the Ford Fireworks display on Monday, June 25th.
